Amy is a first year Ph.D. student in the Department of Government and Politics at the University of Maryland. Her research areas of interest include political psychology and interest groups.
Prior to enrolling at Maryland, Amy worked as an executive in a public affairs firm where she developed an interest in how groups impact opinion formation in group members. Prior to her work in public affairs, Amy worked for several years on Capitol Hill. Amy received her undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech in Political Science and Communication Studies and her M.A. from The George Washington University in Political Management.
