Wayne V. McIntosh Celebration of Life
The Department of Government and Politics (GVPT) invites members of the University of Maryland community and friends of the department to join us for a Celebration of Life honoring Professor Emeritus Wayne V. McIntosh, who passed away on December 8, 2025.
For more than four decades, Wayne was a pillar of GVPT and the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences (BSOS). He shaped generations of students, faculty, and staff through his scholarship, exceptional teaching, and steady leadership. Remembered for his integrity, kindness, mentorship, and passion for public law, Wayne leaves behind a profound legacy that continues to define what it means to be part of this department.
This gathering is an opportunity to reflect on Wayne’s life and impact, share memories, and honor the contributions he made to our community.
