Preparation for apply to jobs includes:

1. Notifying your Ph.D advisor and other letter writers (typically by June or July the year you go on the market)

2. Compiling you C.V.

3. Writing a cover letter

4. Writing a reserach statement & compiling teaching materials (syllabi and course evaluations)

5. Writing a teaching statement
