My research is on the onset, duration, and termination of international and civil conflict.  My research can be found in the American Political Science Review, the American Journal of Political Science, and the Journal of Politics.  Several of these articles develop and test models of bargaining between actors such as states and rebel groups.  I have also collaborated on laboratory experiments that leverage behavioral economics approaches to tests some of the comparative statics from bargaining models of political conflict.
