Professor Isabella Alcañiz
Join us for the first Sadat Book Chat of the semester to discuss Professor Alcañiz’s timely co-authored book with Ricardo Gutierrez, The Distributive Politics of Environmental Protection in Latin America and the Caribbean.

  • When: September 21 at 12pm
  • Where: Chincoteague Hall, 2113
  • Note:This chat will be held in a hybrid format. Boxed lunch will be provided to all those who RSVP in person. Please RSVP as early as possible so that we can place the order for the boxed lunches.

Professor Jillian Schwedler
Join us for a special Sadat Book Chat with our former GVPT colleague, Professor Jillian Schwedler who is now teaching at CUNY. Professor Schwedler recently published a new book Protesting Jordan: Geographies of Power and Dissent.

  • When: October 5 at 7pm
  • Where: Professor Shibley Telhami’s home in Silver Spring, Maryland
  • Note: Since Professor Schwedler is visiting on Yom Kippur, the chat is taking place after sundown, with casual dinner served. The address will be sent to those who RSVP.
