Zhenze Huang is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Government and Politics at the University of Maryland, College Park. His research explores the intersection of domestic and international politics, with a regional focus on China. In the realm of Chinese foreign policy, his work examines the trilateral dynamics among the United States, mainland China, and Taiwan. In domestic politics, his research focuses on legislative politics, elite co-optation, and central–local relations, particularly the evolving political relationship between the People’s Republic of China and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region since 1997. Zhenze holds an M.A. in China Studies and International Economics from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and a B.A. with honors in International Affairs and Political Science from the George Washington University.
