Mychala Walker is a graduate student in the University of Maryland’s Government and Politics Ph.D Program. Mychala’s areas of study are comparative politics and political methodology. Specifically, her research interests are in Sub-Saharan African Politics and Ethnicity/Identity politics. She graduated summa cum laude in 2021 from Virginia State University with a B.A. in Political Science. Prior to her graduate studies, Mychala worked for two years with the U.S. Department of State as a Political Affairs intern.
