Re-elected this November, Senator Van Hollen has represented the State of Maryland in the U.S. Senate since being elected in 2016. He is a member of the Senate Committee on Appropriations and Chairman of the Subcommittee on Financial Services and General Government; a member of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations and Chairman of the Subcommittee on Africa and Global Health Policy.

 

The event will be moderated by Professor Shibley Telhami, the Anwar Sadat Professor for Peace and Development and Director of the University of Maryland Critical Issues Poll, with introductory remarks delivered by Dean Susan Rivera of the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences.
