Bio

Isabelle Jensen is a Ph.D. candidate in Government and Politics at the University of Maryland, where she studies American political behavior under the guidance of Chryl Laird. Isabelle's research focuses on disability, identity, and political participation, examining how accessibility and disability identity shape the ways disabled Americans engage in politics. Her dissertation considers participation across voting, protest, boycotts, and interactions with government bureaucracies. She is also a researcher at the Center for Democracy and Civic Engagement, where she works on voting access and political participation. Her research has been published in political psychology and election research and supported by fellowships and awards from APSA and SPSSI.
