Hyeri Park is a second-year PhD student in the Government and Politics department. She completed her BA at Syracuse University, majoring in Economics, International Relations (with a focus on International Political Economy and the Asia region), and Political Science. She earned her MA at Seoul National University (GSIS SNU), specializing in International Studies with a focus on International Commerce.

Her current research examines the implications of U.S. export restrictions on semiconductor components to China and the resulting effects on the global semiconductor market structure. Her broader research interests include international trade, trade disputes in environmental and advanced technologies, and International Political Economy (IPE).

In Fall 2024, Hyeri serves as a teaching assistant for GVPT 200, leading three discussion sections each Friday. She has a passion for classical music, particularly Debussy's works and other slow jazz-inspired pieces. Outside of academics, she enjoys biking and has experience working in a café, though she personally does not consume coffee or caffeinated drinks.
