We’re proud to announce that four Government and Politics (GVPT) students from the University of Maryland have been selected for the prestigious Maryland Public Service Scholars Program.

These students are among 10 from UMD chosen for this highly competitive program, which offers paid, full-time summer internships with government agencies and nonprofit organizations across Maryland. Each student will gain valuable hands-on experience under the mentorship of a senior-level professional, contributing meaningfully to public service.

Congratulations to our GVPT scholars:

Lily Haney – Maryland Department of Transportation Fellows
Marissa Harris – Sondheim Nonprofit Leadership Program
Molly Martin – Governor’s Summer Internship Program
Laiba Nisar – Governor’s Summer Internship Program

We commend these students for their leadership, drive, and commitment to making a difference in government, nonprofit, transportation, and legislative sectors.
