Gabriel Silverman, a 2005 graduate of the Department of Government and Politics, debuted a new full-length documentary he co-directed, called “The Spies Among Us," at the SXSW Film & TV Festival in Austin, Texas last Saturday.
“The Spies Among Us" follows Peter Keup, a former German political prisoner who learns that his late brother once spied on him for the East German Stasi, who Silverman said, “understood the power of data, keeping personal files on their own citizens to dissuade political dissent.”
