Department of Government & Politics (GVPT) Professor and Director of the Center for Democracy and Civic Engagement (CDCE) Michael Hanmer was quoted in a recent article in The Hill discussing President Donald Trump’s criticism of polling and its broader implications for American democracy.
“A big role of polling is to give a voice to regular people, and if regular people stop trusting that, then that’s just one other facet of American political life where people are losing faith in core institutions, and I think that’s something we all have to be concerned about,” Hanmer said.
