GVPT student Matthew Zinno recently presented his project "Executive Orders Under Scrutiny: The Role of Partisanship and Presidential Approval in Judicial Outcomes" at the Southern Political Science Association Annual Meeting in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Reflecting on the experience, Matthew shared: "Attending SPSA’s annual conference was an unforgettable experience. The invaluable feedback I received helped refine my research, which explores the connection between partisanship and the likelihood of federal judges casting favorable votes for the executive branch when reviewing executive orders. The skills I developed in my GVPT classes prepared me to present my research confidently and engage with the findings of other scholars. Beyond the academic exchange, the opportunity to connect with fellow students and distinguished professors across the country was truly inspiring."
Matthew credits his advisor, Dr. Patrick Wohlfarth, and committee members Dr. Kris Miler and Dr. Sarah Croco for their invaluable guidance and support, which were instrumental in preparing for this milestone.
Congratulations, Matthew!
